What can we learn from our brothers and sisters across the centuries to help shape vision and faith for the future of our cities? In this talk, Dr Sarah Williams will bring to life the stories of three faith-filled pioneers from different time periods whose work served to transform entire cultures through the Christian gospel. We will look closely at the relationship between missional imagination and the granular details of practical work and service, reflecting together on the spiritual practices that sustain intimacy with Christ and integrate faith and action for the good of society.

About the speaker

Sarah Williams

Sarah is an historian known for bringing history to life in a way that speaks to contemporary society. She trained at the University of Oxford where she subsequently taught as part of the modern history faculty before moving to Regent College, Vancouver to teach international post-graduate students. As a Research Professor in the History of Christianity, her passion is to tell the story of the Church through time.
