Spiritual leadership is a puzzling calling — it sounds great, but what does it really mean? In light of the leadership crisis facing the western church today, our current understanding seems to be lacking. Something clearly isn’t right.

Interestingly, the key contributions of biblical leaders were never their charisma, strategy, or vision-casting, but who they were as human beings, and their deep awareness of God’s presence in every moment. God’s focus was (and is) to transform His leaders – us – into the image of Christ: whole, fully alive, and radiant with His glory. And to that end, He is ready to weave our wounds, our drives, and circumstances into instruments of joy, hope, and glory. But that journey requires a very different approach to life and ministry, one we will explore in this talk.
